Lift Plans & Critical Lifts
Engineered crane & rigging plans with stamped drawings, load studies, and on-site oversight—built to protect people, product, and production schedules in live facilities.
Why Engineered Lift Plans Matter
Critical lifts intersect safety, uptime, and risk. We align calculations and controls with Industrial Demolition, Press Line Dismantling, Rigging & Heavy Equipment Removal, and Project Safety Oversight—delivering auditable documentation and clean execution.
Planning Components
Engineering & Calculations
- Load weight verification & center-of-gravity (CG) analysis
- Crane selection, radius checks, charts, and capacity margins
- Rigging design (slings, shackles, spreaders, below-the-hook)
- Floor loading, ground bearing pressure, and matting plans
- Collision/interference studies and pick-path analysis
Critical Lift Package
Field Controls & Records
- Pre-task briefs, signalperson plan, spotters & barricades
- Daily JHAs aligned to lift steps and environment
- Photo logs, variance capture, and close-out reports
- Owner/AHJ documentation and permit coordination
- Contractor orientation and toolbox talk sign-ins
Calculation Checks We Document: hook load (incl. rigging weight), boom angle & radius, outrigger/bearing pressures, sling angles & tensions, below-the-hook ratings, dynamic factors, and weather thresholds.
Field Execution Process
A documented approach that protects people, property, and production—while surfacing asset value.
01. Scope & Site Study
Walkdown, measurements, CG estimate, route mapping, utility checks, and floor/soil verifications to set constraints early.
02. Engineering Package
Crane & rigging design, load charts, sling math, and stamped drawings as required by policy, insurer, or AHJ.
03. Pre-Lift Readiness
LOTO verification, JHAs, line clearance, radios, spotters, barricades, and contingency plans reviewed with all parties.
04. Execute & Close-Out
Supervised lifts, real-time decision controls, photo documentation, variance capture, and final report to stakeholders.
Integrated Planning & Compliance
Lift planning ties directly into LOTO Programs, JHAs, and Project Safety Oversight, and complements operational scopes like Industrial Demolition and Press Line Dismantling.
Documentation & Standards
- Stamped drawings, lift narratives, and load charts
- Zero-energy/LOTO verification records where applicable
- Signalperson/rigger qualifications and attendance logs
- Owner/AHJ submittals and permit coordination
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and ASME B30 series alignment
- Pre-task planning/toolbox talks (daily sign-in retained)
- Photo evidence embedded where required
- Audit-ready close-out for owners and insurers

Lift Planning FAQs
Do all lifts require stamped drawings?
Not always. We follow site policy and AHJ/insurer requirements. Critical lifts, dual-crane picks, or lifts over occupied space typically require PE stamps.
How do you minimize downtime?
We align outage windows with production, pre-stage rigging routes, and run parallel prep (LOTO, labeling, matting) to compress critical-path time.
Can you manage permits and submittals?
Yes—owner and AHJ submittals, pick plans, load charts, ground bearing calcs, and close-out reporting are included in our package.
